A thick-walled, robust and durable copper glass for storing and drinking water.
Copper cup from the Ayurvedic tradition
The use of metals has long been known in the Ayurvedic tradition - for centuries, yogis drank water from copper vessels. Ancient Sanskrit texts prove that precious stones, as well as certain metals, can have positive effects on the body, mind and soul. In Ayurveda, copper in particular is considered to be of particular importance. An artfully handcrafted copper cup is ideal for energising drinking water.
Copper cup for energising and revitalising water
Fill the copper cup with water in the evening, leave it overnight and drink the vitalised water the next morning. In Ayurvedic terms, the water has taken on the vibrations of copper and absorbed small amounts of pure copper.
Drink only non-carbonated water from a copper cup. Acidic drinks can cause a chemical reaction with copper.
Please note: The copper mug is handmade in India, so each mug is unique. Minor scratches on the inside or outside of the cup are perfectly normal and do not affect its functionality.
Model: 'Hammered' with beautiful patterns on the outside
Capacity: approx. 0,3 litres.
Instructions for use and care of the copper mug
Fill the copper mug with cold water in the evening and leave it overnight. In the morning, when you get up, drink this water. This water is recommended in Ayurvedic science because it is said to be a purifier of the whole physiology. From a scientific point of view, copper, which is an essential mineral for the human body, is absorbed by water.
Copper is a natural substance that tends to darken due to oxidation. Therefore, it is necessary to clean the copper cup regularly. To do this, add a teaspoon each of lemon juice and salt to the cup, mix and clean with a sponge or cloth. The outside of the cup can be cleaned in the same way. Then rinse the cup again with water. This cleaning method should be repeated regularly to prevent corrosion of the copper cup. Not suitable for washing in a dishwasher.
