To use eucalyptus essential oil, simply add a few drops to a diffuser or humidifier and inhale deeply.

Eucalyptus oil for diseases

This oil is effective for respiratory illnesses such as flu and can be inhaled by placing a few drops on a handkerchief and inhaling the vapour as needed, or by placing a few drops in hot (boiling) water and inhaling the vapour for 5-10 minutes.

Using the oil:

Place a few drops on a handkerchief and inhale the steam as needed or add a few drops to hot (not boiling) water and inhale the steam for 5-10 minutes.

With henna: when mixing henna powder for hair, hands or feet, add a few drops of eucalyptus (Nilgiri oil) to strengthen and deepen the colour.

Warning Do not use on skin!

Eucalyptus oil should not be applied directly to the skin.

If used "neat", it can cause severe irritation. To dilute this essential oil, add 12 drops of the oil to each fluid ounce (about 30 ml) of a carrier oil such as almond, sesame, olive oil or natural lotion.
