All Le Chatelard 1802 Savon de Marseille soaps are handmade in the Le Chatelard workshop in St. Auban sur Ouvèze, Provence (France). Thanks to their neutral pH formula, which does not dry out the skin, these soaps provide intensive hydration and softness. Subtly perfumed with flowers, fruits and other natural ingredients, they perfectly lather, nourish, moisturize and perfume the skin.

This 100% natural soap is traditionally made by mixing sea water from the Mediterranean Sea, olive oil with or without other vegetable oils and the alkaline chemicals soda (sodium carbonate) and alkali (sodium hydroxide) together in a large pot.

This mixture is then heated for several days with constant stirring. The mixture is allowed to stand until it is ready, then it is poured into a mold and allowed to set slightly. While it is still soft, it is cut into strips, stamped and left to harden completely. The whole process can take up to a month.

How to use: Use daily in the shower or bath. Apply soap and massage gently before rinsing with clean water.
