All Le Chatelard 1802 Savon de Marseille soaps are handmade in the Le Chatelard workshop. Auban sur Ouvèze, Provence (France). Due to their neutral pH formula, which does not dry out the skin, these soaps provide intense hydration and softness. Delicately perfumed with flowers, fruits and other natural ingredients, they are great for foaming, nourishing, moisturizing and smelling the skin.

This 100% natural soap is traditionally made by mixing seawater from the Mediterranean, olive oil with or without other vegetable oils and alkaline chemicals soda (sodium carbonate) and alkali (sodium hydroxide) together in a large boiler.

This mixture is then heated for several days with constant stirring. The mixture is allowed to stand until it is ready, then poured into a mold and allowed to set slightly. Still soft, it is cut into strips, pressed and left to harden completely. The whole process can take up to a month.

How to use: Use daily in the shower or bath. Apply soap and massage gently before rinsing with clean water.
