Do I need another Pilates mat even if I already have one yoga mat?

Yes, we recommend that you purchase a special Pilates mat. Pilates mats usually differ in thickness from yoga mats, i.e. these are thicker because the spine and knees need more cushioning. They are also not as slip-resistant by design as yoga mats, which are not recommended for Pilates training. In fact, a Pilates mat should allow a certain amount of sliding and should have different surface characteristics than yoga mats.
